TACOMA, Washington – Leave it to a couple of seniors to push the Loggers to victory on Senior Day. The No. 20/22 Puget Sound women's soccer team beat Linfield, 1-0, on East Field Sunday afternoon. It was the last home game of the regular season for the Loggers.
 
Before kickoff, Puget Sound celebrated its nine seniors: Tess Carden, Jasmine Chapman, Kalina Cordero, Genny Jilka, Meghan Jones, Kaitlyn McIsaac, Kylee Roath, Layla Santos, and Kiana Serrao.
 
The Loggers (16-0-2, 12-0-2 NWC) earned a corner kick in the 12^th minute. Carden took the set piece, and she landed the offering perfectly into the box. Kylee Roath took advantage of the brilliant ball and headed in her team-leading eighth goal of the season.
 
Chaylea Tome needed to make just one save for her 14^th shutout of the season, which leads all NCAA D-III goalies.
 
The Loggers attempted 17 shots in all, putting seven on frame.
 
The Loggers next take on Pacific Lutheran Wednesday, Nov. 3, in Parkland. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
