PARKLAND, Washington – The No. 19/23 Puget Sound women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, 1-0, at Pacific Lutheran Wednesday evening.

PLU (17-2-0, 13-2-0 NWC) scored the game-winner off a corner kick in the 33
rd minute.

The Loggers (16-1-2, 12-1-2 NWC) are typically the aggressors on offense, but PLU outshot Puget Sound in the first half, 7-2.

Puget Sound launched five shots in the second half, but all in all only two shots were in target through 90 minutes.

The Loggers trail PLU by one point in the Northwest Conference standings. This weekend marks the final games of the regular season for both teams. Puget Sound kicks off at Lewis & Clark Sunday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., and the Lutes take on George Fox Saturday,.
