PASADENA, California – Samantha Swartout and
Sophie Nilsson both notched their first double-doubles of the season as the Puget Sound women's basketball team dominated at Caltech, 73-54, Friday evening.

Nilsson scored a team-high 16 points to go with 10 rebounds, and Swartout matched those boards to go with 15 points.
Paige Gerhart did a little bit of everything for the Loggers (9-1), netting points, pulling down four rebounds, and dishing out four assists.

Puget Sound set the tone early with a commanding 21-8 lead through the game's first 10 minutes.

Overall, Caltech (2-1) was forced into 26 turnovers and it shot 36.5-percent from the floor. Â

The Loggers will have a restful day in California before taking on Whittier Sunday, Nov. 21, at 3 p.m.
