PORTLAND, Oregon – Samantha Swartout scored a career-high 23 points to lead the Puget Sound women's basketball team to its sixth consecutive win with a 64-52 victory over Walla Walla in the Lewis & Clark Tournament.

Swartout shot 7-for-13 from the floor and made all six of her free-throws.
Sophie Nilsson added 16 points, eight rebounds, and five assists in the winning effort, while
Katie Minnehan pulled down a team-high nine rebounds to go with six steals and five assists.

The Loggers (6-1) were in control from the start, doubling up on Walla Walla through the game's first 10 minutes, 20-10.

Puget Sound shot just 8-for-32 from 3-point range, but the Loggers made up for it by forcing Walla Walla into 19 turnovers. Puget Sound also won on the boards, 42-36.

The Loggers remain in Portland for a game against Cal Lutheran Sunday, Nov. 28, at 1 p.m.
