Box Score PARKLAND, Washington – The Puget Sound men's soccer team fired off 14 shots without any luck, and Pacific Lutheran edged out the Loggers, 1-0, Wednesday night.
Puget Sound's 14 shots stands as the second-highest total this season. The Loggers had 16 shots in a game against Whitworth (March 6).
Cale Spence totaled seven shots, including three on goal, against the Lutes. Michael Forsgren attempted four shots and put one on goal.
The Loggers finished with five shots on target against the Lutes, while PLU put nine shots on frame. The Lutes broke through for the game's only goal in the 77th minute.
Andrew Matheny made eight saves for Loggers, marking his season-high.
Puget Sound prepares to host Whitworth, March 20-21, in Baker Stadium.
