Box Score TACOMA, Washington – Senior Tyler Zamira scored the game-winning goal to complete the Puget Sound men's soccer team's 2-1 comeback win over Whitworth in Baker Stadium Sunday afternoon. It was the last home game of the season for the Loggers.
The Pirates held a 1-0 lead at halftime, but the Loggers got on the board in the 54th minute when Cade Bennett drilled a shot on goal. Although the Whitworth goalkeeper was there to make the save, Marko Babiak came swooping in bury the rebound into the back of the net.
Sean Hamel lined up for a corner kick in the 82nd minute. He placed the service right in front of the goal six yards out, and Zamira was there to hammer in the game-winning goal.
