TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound men's soccer team will be more rested than expected when it travels to Western Washington to take on the NCAA D-II Vikings Saturday, March 27, at 7 p.m.

The Loggers were previously go against Pacific Lutheran Wednesday (March 24), but that game was postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
In its most recent game, Puget Sound snapped a seven-game winless streak by beating Whitworth, 2-1, at home (March 21). Tyler Zamira scored the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute off a corner kick from Sean Hamel.
Marko Babiak also scored in the game, tying him with Cale Spence for the conference-lead in goals (4).
The Saturday is the season-opener for the Vikings – members of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC). In 2019, the Vikings clinched the best record in the GNAC (13-5-1, 10-1-1) and earned a bid for the NCAA D-II Championships.
