Loggers and Pirates set to go head-to-head in Spokane

FANS AND FAMILY ARE NOT PERMITTED TO ATTEND ATHLETIC EVENTS

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's soccer team has alternated between wins and losses through the first four games of the season, but they'll aim to starting a winning streak with two games at Whitworth, March 6-7.

The Loggers recently split a couple of home games against Pacific Lutheran (Feb. 27-28). Puget Sound won the first game, 2-1. Marko Babiak put the Loggers ahead, 1-0, with a set piece strike from 19 yards out. The Lutes tied up the game, but then Cade Bennet scored his first-career goal in the 86th minute, and it stood as the game-winner.

Babiak scored in the second game, and Ryan Smith netted his first goal of the year, but the Loggers lost to PLU, 4-2.

The Pirates are 1-3 this season. They lost twice to Whitman, and they began the season by splitting two games with PLU.
