PARKLAND, Washington - Freshman defender Liam Elliott scored his first-career goal to give the Puget Sound men's soccer team a 1-0 win at Pacific Lutheran in the season finale Tuesday. 

Elliott scored an unassisted goal in the 16th minute, and the Logger defense shut down the Lutes for 90 minutes. 

Andrew Matheny made five saves in the winning effort - his second-highest total of the season. He turned away a penalty kick in the 64th minute.
