TACOMA, Washington – Graham Hall scored his second goal of the season in the 87
th minute to send the Puget Sound men's soccer team into overtime against Northwest, but the Loggers suffered a crushing defeat, 4-3, when the Eagles netted the golden goal on a penalty kick in Baker Stadium Wednesday afternoon.
Cale Spence got the scoring going for the Loggers in the 18
th minute with a beauty of a left-footed curler from outside the box, tying the game, 1-1.
Marko Babiak executed from the penalty spot in the 38
th minute on what was his third goal in four games.
Late in the game, a shot by
Theo Kostal hit the crossbar, and Hall buried the rebound to send the contest into extra time.
Puget Sound (1-3) will hit the road to take on Pacific (2-1) in Oregon, Sept. 18, at 2:30 p.m.
