TACOMA, Washington – Fifth-year senior Ryan Smith scored his first goal of the season to help lead the Puget Sound men's soccer team to a 2-1 victory over Linfield in Baker Stadium Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers lined up for a corner kick with less than two minutes to go before halftime. Adam Schmidt used his head to flick the offering towards Smith, and the 2021 All-Northwest Conference recipient buried his chance to give the Loggers a 1-0 lead.

Shanve Ivich gave the Loggers a 2-0 lead in the 72
nd minute when he scored off a cross by Luke Ahearn from the right side.

Ryan Saunders made six saves in the winning effort.
