TACOMA, Washington – The Loggers' defense rose to the challenge when the Puget Sound men's soccer team reached a scoreless tie against Willamette in Baker Stadium Sunday afternoon.
Â
Willamette entered Sunday's contest in first place in the Northwest Conference standings. The Bearcats' potent offense attempted 21 shots against Puget Sound, but Logger defenders often stepped in front of shots and deflected attempts out of harm's way.
Â
Out of their 21 shots, the Bearcats put only six on frame. Ryan Saunders was there to make all six stops.
Â
Puget Sound's final weekend of the season is at home, Nov. 5-6, when the Loggers host Pacific Lutheran and George Fox.
