TACOMA, Washington – Four Loggers scored in double figures as the Puget Sound women's basketball team overwhelmed Whittier, 84-49, in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.

The Loggers trailed by four points, 31-27 midway through the second quarter, but Puget Sound went on an incredible 21-0 run through the final five minutes of the first half to take a 48-31 lead into the locker room.

Sophie Nilsson scored a team-high 15 points in the game, and
Kennedy Brown added 14.
Samantha Swartout scored 11 points, and
Grace Pytynia-Hillier contributed 12 points off the bench.

The Loggers forced the Poets into 28 turnovers.
Katie Minnehan came up with a game-high five steals in just 14 minutes of the floor.

Puget Sound 50-percent from 3-point range (16-for-32), and 46.3-percent from the floor overall.
