TACOMA, Washington – Kennedy Brown scored a career-high 32 points to lead the No. 25 Puget Sound women's basketball team to an 89-77 win over Whitworth in Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night.

Brown became the 16
th Logger in program history to score at least 30 points in a game. She is the first Logger to achieve the feat since Jamie Lange scored 33 points against Willamette during the 2019-20 season.

The Pirates held a 21-19 lead after the first quarter, but the Loggers closed out the second half with a 7-3 run to take a 37-33 lead into the break. The included a 3-point by Brown, and a jumper by
Grace Pytynia-Hillier in the final seconds.

Puget Sound scored 13 points in the first four minutes of the second half, pushing its lead to 50-39 when Brown scored in the paint. The Loggers' lead reach 19 points. 58-39, when
Jordyn Reverman hit a layup with four minutes left in the third quarter.

The Loggers held a double-digit lead for the entire second quarter.

Brown finished the game shooting 13-for-21 form the floor, including 4-for-7 from 3-point range. Reverman scored 16 points off the bench, while
Samantha Swartout and
Paige Gerhart scored 11 points and 10 points, respectively.

Puget Sound is back in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday, Dec. 3, to host No. 21/14 Whitman at 4 p.m.
