SALEM, Oregon – Samantha Swartout came away with her third double-double of the season to lead the No. 21 Puget Sound women's basketball team to a 68-54 win at Willamette Saturday evening.

Swartout shot 4-for-7 from the floor, and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line, to total 14 points. Her 12 rebounds against Willamette (10-10, 5-6 NWC) are a season-high.
Kennedy Brown added 11 points in 19 minutes for the Loggers (17-3, 10-2 NWC).

Puget Sound held a 39-27 lead at halftime, but the Bearcats clawed in the third quarter to cut the Loggers' lead to 52-48 entering the fourth quarter.

After allowing 21 points in the third quarter, Puget Sound held Willamette to just six points in the game's final 10 minutes. The Bearcats scored just one point in the final eight minutes of the game.

Overall, Puget Sound forced Willamette into 18 turnovers, and the Loggers committed only eight.
