REDLANDS, California – Makana Murashige had his second three-hit game of the weekend, but the Puget Sound baseball team lost at Redlands, 15-5, Sunday. It was the fourth and final game of the Loggers' season-opening trip to southern California.

Murashige finished the game 3-for-5, and he scored two runs.
Kyle Strash and
Clayton Waltz both picked up two hits against the Bulldogs.

Redlands put the Loggers out of reach early, taking a 9-0 lead through the first two innings.

The Puget Sound bats came to life for a four-run fifth inning.
Cody Hirano led off by reaching base on an error, and Strash followed with a single.
Dylan Joyce followed with an RBI single, and Murashige hit a single of his own that allowed Strash to score when the left fielder committed an error.

Gio Parascondola loaded the bases by drawing a walk, and
Jonas Kim kept the rally going with an RBI single. The last run of the inning was when
Sean Murphy was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

The Loggers make their home debut Friday, Feb. 11, with non-conference games against St. Martin's (11 a.m.) and Pacific Lutheran (2 p.m.).
