Puget Sound's defense tightens up in 10-5 win at Corban

SALEM, Oregon – Similarly to Friday's win against Augsburg, Hayden Hotchkiss was the Puget Sound lacrosse team's catalyst as the Loggers outlasted Corban, 10-5, Saturday afternoon.

Friday, Hotchkiss scored the game's first two goals to lead the Loggers to a 16-3 win. Saturday, she scored the game's first goal just two-and-a-half minutes into the contest.

From there, Abby Stranahan, Emily LaRiviere, and Hannah Bushing each scored to give the Loggers a 4-0 lead.

The Warriors scored five of the final six goals in the first half, and the Loggers held a 5-4 lead at halftime. However, Puget Sound goalkeeper Olivia Almy and the Logger defense allowed just one goal to Corban in the second half.

Stranahan scored swince in the second with, with LaRiviere, Hotchkiss, and Beatrice Bridge adding goals.

The Loggers dominated draw controls, 15-4. Bridge came up with nine of those draws.
