TACOMA, Washington – Gabriel Faro-White scored for the first time since 2019, and
Liam Elliott delivered the game-winning goal as the Puget Sound men's soccer team beat Whitman, 3-1, in Baker Stadium Saturday afternoon.

Graham Hall sprinted down the left side of the field with the ball in the 16
th minute, and delivered a cross into the box. Faro-White got his head on the delivery and put the Loggers up, 1-0.

The Blues evened the score in the 27
th minute, but the Loggers netted a go-ahead goal with one minute remaining in the first half.
Diego Alvaro took a free kick from 35 yards on the left side of the field, and
Etienne Polak used his head to flick the ball deeper into the box. That's where Elliott awaited for a one-touch score.

Puget Sound tacked on an insurance goal in the 79
th minute. The Whitman keeper threw an errant pass inside the box, and
Luke Ahearn corralled the ball. Ahearn found
Stuart Methner in the middle of the box, and he took advantage of an empty net for his third goal of the season.

Ryan Saunders made seven saves for Puget Sound, marking his third consecutive game with at least seven saves. Saunders has 47 saves and a 0.89 GAA through nine games this season.
