Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer held scoreless in 2-0 loss

TACOMA, Wash. – The Pacific Lutheran Lutes' women's soccer team (6-1) defeated the Puget Sound Loggers (5-1), 2-0, Wednesday afternoon.

The Loggers displayed a strong offense throughout the first half with 11 shots off, but didn't break through until the 43rd minute when Logger goalie, Megan Shellhase was caught outside the box for a handball. The Lutes quickly regained possession, and Olivia Boehm scored the game-winning goal.

Late in the second half, the Lutes doubled their lead with a straight shot from Julia Causbie finding the back of the net. Lily Dose lobbed the ball to the right side of the field to Kayden Hulquist who crossed it to the middle where Julia Causbie finished it off in one touch.

The Loggers totalled 15 shots with six on goal, while Megan Schellhase made four saves.

Puget Sound women's soccer will be at home on East Field, Saturday, October 7th, at 12 p.m.
