THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Puget Sound men's basketball team couldn't find rhythm in 82-53 loss to Cal Lutheran on Saturday afternoon in Gilbert Arena.
Dezman Baker scored 12 points and eight rebounds, the Loggers collectively had only 15 turnovers compared to Cal Lutherans' 16, but Puget Sound only shot 37.3% from the floor.
The first half put the Loggers in a hole with a 35-19 lead from Cal Lutheran, the Loggers fought back in the second half scoring 34 points but Cal Lutherans also put up 47 points. Cal Lutheran played tough defense on outside shots, the Loggers managed only one three-pointer throughout the game.
The Loggers hope to secure a win against Schreiner next Saturday, Nov. 18 in Spokane, Wash. at Whitworth University.
