TACOMA, Wash. – The Loggers couldn't find the inside of the net in a 60-50 loss to Bushnell University on Wednesday night.
The Loggers only shot for 29% from the floor and couldn't capitalize on all 20 turnovers from Bushnell.
Kennedy Brown led the scoring with 14 points,
Jordyn Reverman followed with 13 points and
Katie Minnehan impressed with eight rebounds and five steals.
Puget Sound and Bushnell seemed to be evenly matched in the first quarter, finishing 16-16, but the second quarter broke the Loggers down after a 15-2 run by Bushnell.
The Loggers went into halftime down 35-23, only scoring seven points in the second quarter.
The second half was played as a catch-up game with both teams scoring almost equal points, the Loggers got within four points with three minutes remaining in regulation, but it wasn't enough to catch a lead. The Loggers scored 19 points off the bench.
Women's basketball bids farewell for the Thanksgiving Holiday and will return on the road in Oregon at George Fox University on Dec. 2.
