TACOMA, Wash. – Four Loggers scored in double-digits to make an impressive 91-78 win against Multnomah University on Wednesday night in Memorial Fieldhouse.
Jordyn Reverman led the Loggers with a career-high 20 points going 7-for-13, while
Grace Pytynia-Hillier dropped 19 points going 5-for-5 on the 3-point line.
Paige Gerhart and
Katie Minnehan both had 12.
The Loggers led with the first five points and held that lead until Multnomah went on an 11-point streak at the end of the first quarter and taking a 24-18 lead. In the second quarter, Pytynia-Hillier made consecutive 3-point plays to start the Loggers off. The Loggers finally tied it up halfway through at 34-34 and then went on a 9-point run that finished in a 50-39 lead going into the half, outscoring Multnomah 32-15.
In the second half, the Loggers continued momentum and chipped away at Multnomah, leading by double-digits throughout. The Loggers scored 23 points off the bench and went on an 11-point scoring run in the middle of the fourth-quarter, led by Reverman. Multnomah went on a 7-point run to finish the game but it wasn't enough to catch the lead.
Freshman
Claire Thompson went 4-for-4 scoring eight points, while
Autumn Hill claimed six rebounds and five blocks. Minnehan had nine rebounds and Gerhart notched eight boards.
The Puget Sound Women's Basketball team will be home for the upcoming three games, they will play next on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. to face Trinity University (Texas) in Memorial Fieldhouse.
