TACOMA, Washington – Five Loggers scored in double figures, and
Grant Erickson came away with a double-double, as the Puget Sound men's basketball team beat George Fox, 93-83, in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night.

Erickson pulled down more rebounds – 13 – than he scored points – 12. It was his third double-double of the season.

Mussie Teclemariam and
Dezman Baker tied for the team lead in scoring with 16 points, each. It was a new season-high mark for Baker - a freshman.Â
Taj Phillips came up one assist shy of a double-double, netting 13 points and dishing out nine dimes.
Will Pohland scored 11 points in the winning effort.

The only time Puget Sound trailed was when the Bruins had a 5-4 lead. The Loggers' first double-digit lead of the game came midway through the first half when Erickson scored in the paint to make it 26-16. Puget Sound took a 47-35 lead into halftime.

The Loggers are back home next week to host Linfield Pacific (Feb. 10-11).
