FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Coach Sam Zisette knew what to expect in the men's soccer match up against Pacific University on Friday evening, anticipating the Boxers tendency to sit back defensively. The Loggers looked to disrupt the play early creating several opportunities to score, most coming off of corner kicks.
In the final 20 minutes of the second half, Puget Sound picked up the pressure with five different Loggers putting up six shots, but it was not enough to get on the board with the game ending in a 0-0 draw.
Leading the shot count for the Loggers was
Marko Babiak with two and
Ian Cameron with three totaling five shots-on-goal for the game.
Puget Sound moves to a Northwest Conference record of 1-2-2 and will stay in the area to take on George Fox on Sunday. The Loggers get off the road next Wednesday when they host Pacific Lutheran University at Baker Stadium.
