McMinnville, Ore. – Kennedy Brown dropped a game-high 31 points after a comeback third quarter victory against Linfield University, 68-61 on Saturday night.

The Loggers got off to a rocky start going into the second period down 19-8 against the Linfield Wildcats and going 1-of-16 from the floor. The second period helped repair some of the damage but it wasn't until the third period that the Loggers started to showcase their offensive and defensive command. The Loggers outshot the Wildcats 24-8 and reduced the deficit to two points starting the period on a 13-point run.

In the fourth period, the Loggers continued their strong presence shooting at a 53% rate and outshooting the Wildcats 21-12. The Loggers tied it up in the beginning of the period with consecutive plays by Gerhart, stunning the Wildcats as the Loggers took the lead after an 18-point lead the Wildcats secured in the first half. The Loggers continued to chip away at the Wildcats never allowing them to regain the lead and taking it all the way to the end. Linfield attempted to take back the lead but were stopped each time.

The Loggers will be back at home next weekend to face Willamette and Lewis and Clark, Jan. 12 and 13 in Memorial Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. and 4 p.m.
