TACOMA, Washington (November 2, 2024) - Freshman forward
Jackson Smith came up big again earlier today, scoring the lone goal in the Logger (6-4-6, 5-2-6 NWC) victory against the George Fox Bruins (12-4-1, 8-4-1 NWC).
Not even two minutes into the game,
Ian Cameron played Smith in behind the Bruins defense. Smith took one touch into the box, and smashed the ball under a diving Bruins keeper. A few minutes later Smith had another chance on goal that dinged off the post.
The Loggers and the Bruins fought for possession the rest of the half, but neither created any tangible chances on goal. The second half had a bit more action, with two yellow cards being awarded to the Bruins for unsporting behavior, but, again, neither team was able to add to the scoreboard.
The men take on Pacific University tomorrow at 11:00am for their last home game of the season.
