Men's Basketball Yet to be Beaten

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (November 9th, 2024) - Logger Men's Basketball remains undefeated after this evening's competition versus Augsburg University. Coming off of a twenty-nine point comeback, the Loggers were riding high into this game, and used their momentum to push past the Auggies.

There was an "outstanding defensive effort the entire game," said Head Coach Aubrey Shelton. A big offensive run in the second half saw the Loggers scoring on 18 of their 21 possessions. "Dezman [Baker] was outstanding on both ends." Baker led the team with 20 points and over thirty minutes of playing time. Coach Shelton also gave a nod to Hugo Rutherfurd, who had fifteen points and seven rebounds, five of which were offensive. As a team, the Loggers recorded 16 offensive boards. Taj Phillips notched seven points, seven rebounds, and six assists, and Liam Rutledge was also praised by Shelton for his seventeen points worth of "timely buckets" that kept the Loggers in the lead.

The Loggers return to campus tomorrow evening to begin preparations for next weekend's games, first versus Chapman on Friday and then against Claremont Mudd-Scripts on Saturday.
