TACOMA, Washington (December 28, 2024) –
Zane Miller and
Taj Phillips led the Loggers to a dominating 113-61 win over the Douglas College Royals.
The Loggers jumped out to a 5-0 start and extended their lead to 13-4. Midway through the first half, they scored five unanswered baskets to build a 25-8 lead. The Royals couldn't overcome the deficit, and the Loggers went into halftime up by 38 points.
In the second half, the Loggers added 49 points, while the Royals managed 35. Miller finished with 19 points while Philips scored 17. Additional standouts included brothers
Jaden Turner and
Beckett Turner, who each scored 14 points.
The Loggers play again in Tacoma tomorrow at 2 p.m. against the University of California, Santa Cruz.
