PORTLAND, Ore. — Mimi Carrier-Berndt stepped out with three goals, but the Puget Sound Lacrosse team fell 17-6 to the Illinois Wesleyan Titans on Thursday night. Lewis and Clark hosted the dual in Griswold Stadium.

Cat Schilli each scored one goal and
Sara Olsson scored another assist.
In the first quarter, the Loggers and the Titans went head to head with Carrier-Berndt grabbing the first draw control and getting off the first shots. The Loggers had three saves and five ground balls, but the Titans grabbed six ground balls and three goals.
The Loggers struggled to progress with eight turnovers in the second quarter, and the Titans progressed with eight shots while the Loggers only managed four shots.
In the second half, the Titans dominated with seven draw controls, eight ground balls, and five goals, but the Loggers had six saves on the Titans 12 shots. The Loggers finished it out with consecutive goals at 6:54 and 5:21, then Schilli took the ball to the back of the net for the final goal with less than a minute remaining in regulation.
Phoebe Crowther had 11 saves on the day.
The Puget Sound Lacrosse team will head to Spokane after Spring Break to face Whitworth University, on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m.
