TACOMA, Wash. — Puget Sound's women's lacrosse concluded their regular season home schedule against Whitman College in a 17-6 loss on Sunday afternoon. The loss came after the Loggers celebrated their six graduating seniors

Whitman got the scoring ignited early with Madeline Sherry scoring the first of five goals with two goals scored thirty-five seconds apart to give Whitman a 2-0 lead.
After an Izzy LaBelle goal to put the Whitman College Blues up by three, Puget Sound responded. Senior Sheklow set up
Maggie Ott, for her 18
th goal on the season to cut the deficit to two. After Sherry's third goal of the game
Cat Schilli scored goal number 42 on a drive towards the Whitman cage.
Carolina Femino for Whitman College recorded her first career collegiate goal for Whitman to give the Blues a 6-2 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second period saw Whitman with five different Blues scoring goals in a seven-goal second quarter for the Blues. Whitman led 12-2 at the half.
After Lindsey Pasena-Littlesky scored the first goal of the second half, Puget Sound replied with goals of their own. Schilli scored her 43 goal of the season off a pass from Sheklow to cut the deficit to ten, and then Ott off a pass from
Adie Bruce to make it a nine-goal game. For Ott, her third consecutive multi-goal game.
After another Pasena-Littlesky goal, Fuhrmann scored the goal of the day off a draw control win, Fuhrmann poke-checked a goal past Whitman goaltender Renn Novak to cut the deficit to 14-5 to close out the third quarter.
In the fourth quarter Whitman College scored goals from LaBelle and the first collegiate goal from Korin Wheaton to take a 16-5 lead. Carrier-Berndt in front of the hometown faithful scored her final home goal with her 11 of the season. Pasena-Littlesky closed out the scoring for Whitman to go on to a 17-6 win.
Whitman goaltender Renn Novak earned the win today with nine saves on 15 Puget Sound shots. Puget Sound goaltender
Phoebe Crowther started the game for Puget Sound and had two saves on 14 shots.
Bianca Nolan came in relief in the second half and made five saves on 10 shots.
Puget Sound will close out their season next weekend with a road trip against Linfield University on April 27 and George Fox University on April 28.
