TACOMA, Washington (September 21, 2024) - Logger Women's Soccer (1-3-1, 1-0 NWC) continues to add notches in the win column, with yet anther strong performance from Leila Hausia-Haugen, who netted the first goal for the Loggers. Hausia-Hagen, assisted by Emma Pack, already has three goals on the season and is a constant target for the Loggers as they move into the attacking third.
Zoe Fowler scored the second goal for the Loggers, just one minute into the second half. "We started the game with a great energy that we were able to carry with us through the end of the match" said Fowler. "There was a strong sense of urgency throughout the match and we kept a press on them for the majority of the game, attacking the 50-50 balls with lots of strength."
The outlook for tomorrow's home match against Willamette Bearcats is also strong, said Fowler. The team is "great at harnessing momentum" and looking forward for another opportunity to stretch their lead in the standings. All of the NWC play from today ended in a 0-0 tie, except for the Logger/Wildcat matchup - putting the Loggers at the top.
The Loggers kickoff for tomorrow is slotted for 2:45, once the 12:00pm men's soccer game concludes.
