Volleyball Secures Win in Portland

PORTLAND, Oregon (September 27, 2024) - Logger volleyball (6-5, 3-1 NWC) has added another win to their conference record, this time over the Lewis & Clark Pioneers. This evening, the Loggers took care of business in their 3-1 win.

The Logger defense dominated the game, with nearly twice as many blocks recorded as Lewis & Clark. On the offensive side, Makela Pick and Maddie Badger both led the Loggers with 10 kills, and Mackenzie Leith was close behind with nine. Randi Rush came away from the match with a season-high 24 assists.

Puget Sound started strongly, and Lewis & Clark attempted to rally, entering the third set 1-1. However, the Pioneers were no match for the Loggers, who quieted the Pios 25-17 and 25-19 in the third and fourth sets, respectively. The Pioneers are now 0-9 overall with a Northwest Conference record of 0-2, and the Loggers are in third place in the conference behind Whitworth (12-2, 4-0 NWC) and Pacific Lutheran (8-4, 3-0 NWC).
