TACOMA, Washington (January 10, 2025) – The Loggers (3-9, 2-1 NWC) wrapped up a dominating performance against Pacific University (5-9, 1-4 NWC) with an 80-62 victory.
The Loggers came out strong, leading 16-7 early, fueled by a 10-1 run led by
Paige Oh. They ended the first quarter up 21-17 and extended their lead to 13 points in the second, heading into halftime up 39-28.
Pacific rallied in the third quarter with an 11-2 run, cutting the deficit to two points. But the Loggers responded with nine unanswered points from
Mele Sake,
Savannah Pohl, and Oh, regaining a commanding 55-43 lead. That momentum carried into the fourth quarter, where Puget Sound extended its lead to 19 points at 60-43 and never looked back, finishing the game with an 80-62 win.
Oh led the Loggers with 15 points, followed by
Natalia Sefair-Lopez with 13 and Pohl with 12.
Autumn Hill also had a strong outing, contributing 8 points and 8 rebounds.
The Loggers play again tomorrow at home against the Linfield Wildcats at 6 p.m.
