TACOMA, Wash. - Going into tonight's competition, the Loggers won eight straight games against Pacific Lutheran. Tonight marked the ninth in a row against the Lutes for Coach Kushiyama's Maroon & White squad, and their fourth win in a row this season.
The first two quarters were largely a back & forth battle, but PLU had trouble converting possessions into baskets. The Loggers were up by ten, but then the Lutes were able to reach the end of the half with a tie, 25-25. Addison Reardon led the Loggers as they entered the halftime break, with 11 points. Autumn Hill was yet again an influential presence for the Loggers, accounting for multiple blocks and steals - including three blocks within a single minute.
Puget Sound may as well have been automatic from beyond the arc - at least compared to the Lutes. The Loggers shot three times as well from the three-point line, with about a 45% make rate, while the Lutes only managed 15%.
The game finished 60-46, with the Loggers on top. The Maroon & White play again on Saturday at 6:00 p.m., versus the Lewis & Clark Pioneers.
