TACOMA, Washington (March 13, 2025) -- The Loggers put up a fight but ultimately fell to a dominant Sewanee squad, 17-1, on Thursday afternoon.
Senior
Michaela Chen provided a highlight for UPS, scoring the Loggers' lone goal late in the first quarter. Straight from the draw Chen was able to run through the Sewanee defense and inside the 8-meter arc to score. Puget Sound worked hard in the draw circle, with Chen and
Cat Schilli battling for possession, but the Tigers' high-pressure defense made offensive opportunities difficult to come by.
Goalkeeper
Phoebe Crowther stood tall in the cage, making three saves and several blocks against a relentless Sewanee attack. Defensively,
Kylie Sullivan forced key turnovers, that allowed Crowther to grab seven ground balls throughout the game.
The Loggers play again at home this Saturday at 11am against California Lutheran University.
