How it Happened
The Loggers were quickly put on their toes as the Bruins fired off 3 shots within the first 9 minutes of play. It didn't take long for the visitors to fire back as Jarren Merced fed Joel Wollin in the box, who calmly placed the ball in the back of the net to give Puget Sound a 1-0 lead just 11 minutes in.
Rhys Foote doubled the lead four minutes later when he capitalized on a cross from Jackson Smith, firing a low shot into the right corner.
George Fox clawed back in the 29th minute off a penalty kick following a foul on goalkeeper Mason Allison, to make it 2-1.
The Bruins then tied up the game with another penalty kick after another Logger foul in the box.
Both teams created many offensive opportunities throughout the first half with the Loggers having 6 shots and the Bruins taking 10.
George Fox came out firing in the second half with two shots in the first minute. The Loggers answered with several attacking chances, testing the Bruins defense in their half.
The pressure paid off in the 52nd minute when a cross from Smith looking for Wollin forced an own goal, taking back the lead to make it 3-2.
The game shifted when George Fox was dealt a red card, forcing them to play a man down. Puget Sound kept the intensity up with additional free kicks and an advantage in set pieces.
However, the Bruins managed to strike back with an equalizer off a shot with less than 10 minutes remaining. Despite generating several more chances before the final whistle, the Loggers couldn't find the winner, setting for a hard fought draw, 3-3.
