MCMINNVILLE, Ore. - - The Loggers remain undefeated in Northwest Conference play taking down Linfield 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
How it Happened
Both defenses kept scoring opportunities to a minimum throughout the first 45 minutes. Puget Sound generated momentum with early attempts from Sofia Evans and Kaitlyn Osada, while the back line limited the hosts to keep things tied at the break 0-0.
The Loggers pushed into their offensive half just after the break, pressing deep into Wildcat territory. After Ellie Rutkin rattled a shot off the woodwork, Puget Sound found the winner in the 63rd minute. Megan Ulrich set up Zoe Witter, who buried the chance to put the Loggers on top 1–0.
Puget Sound kept up the pressure with late shots on target from Maya George and Kate Short, while the Logger goalkeepers preserved the clean sheet until the final whistle.
