SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Loggers battle to the end against Whitworth, dropping their game 26-1.
How it Happened
The Pirates got off to a quick start, jumping out to a 9-0 lead to start the game.
Piper Lewis cut the deficit to eight with a goal in the second quarter, scoring in her third straight game for the Loggers. She's scored four in the past three games, and is in a great position to grow as she rounds out her freshman campaign.
The other freshman who had a solid game was goalkeeper
Ebeth Kline. Despite the goals, Kline finished with 14 saves - just one shy of her season high. She has a total of 128 saves this season, and is on pace to break the career saves record if she keeps up the pace.
The Loggers also played a super clean game, not recording a single card all game.
Willa Twomey led the team with three shots on goal, and Kline finished the game with four ground balls.
What Happens Next
The Loggers take a day off before heading to Whitman on Sunday, April 26th.
