TACOMA, Wash. -- The Loggers took care of busines against Pacific to open up Northwest Conference play, starting their season with a 3-0 sweep of the Boxers.
How it Happened
The Loggers are officially on a roll, winning their last four games in a row by sweeping their opponents. Against Pacific was no different, as they made quick work of the Boxers.
Maddie Badger and the Loggers got out to a quick 10-5 lead, as kills by
Nicolette Raduziner, Badger, and
Charlotte Fleetwood led the way. Puget Sound then went on a 6-0 run, with Badger securing three kills during that span. Up 16-5, the Loggers were able to cruise to the finish line.
Aubrey Tanner got her first kill of the day, as Puget Sound took set one, 25-16.Â
A 6-1 Logger run kicked off the second set, as Raduziner, and Badger kept going to work. Pacific fought back a little bit, but another 5-1 run helped the Loggers into another comfortable set-two lead. Up 17-11, A final 6-0 run put the game out of reach of the Boxers.
Camryn Shigemasa put on a serving clinic, forcing a Pacific timeout following back-to-back aces. Tanner put the final bow on the set with a kill, leading the Loggers to another commanding 25-15 victory.Â
After hitting 1.000 through the first two sets, Badger continued to hit well after getting two kills in a row to open the third set. The Boxers kept it competitive early, though, pulling ahead 5-3.
Mary Denny shined with back-to-back kills, and Badger scored 6 points in a row to give the Loggers a 13-11 lead. Three kills and three blocks later, the All-American showed why she deserved the honor in 2025. Two aces by
Samantha Keightley and two kills by Tanner capped off the third set, as the Loggers took set three, 25-20.Â
Badger put on a masterclass performance, recording 17 kills, hitting .696, and adding 6 blocks to lead the Loggers to victory.Â

The Loggers continue their conference schedule against George Fox on Saturday, September 19th. First serve is scheduled for 6:00 pm.Â
