TACOMA, Wash. - - Logger women's soccer put on a commanding performance at Baker Stadium on Sunday, earning the 3-0 win against Pacific.
How it Happened
Puget Sound was on the attack early, which created immediate pressure inside the Boxer's defensive third. Maya George set the tone with a quick shot in the third minute. The aggressive play paid off in the 12th minute when defender Ellie Rutkin converted a penalty kick to put the Loggers on the board, 1–0.
The Loggers kept the pressure up with continuous chances, including on-target efforts from the Logger midfield, before Mia Williams doubled the lead off an assist from Ella Oetinger to close out the first half.
The momentum carried seamlessly into the second half as Puget Sound continued to dictate play. Offensive looks forced early saves from the Boxer goalkeeper and kept Pacific pinned on their back line.
Puget Sound put the finishing touches on the match in the 87th minute when Kaitlyn Osada connected on a set up from Anya Dubois, slotting the ball into the net to seal the 3–0 victory.
"Overall I thought it was a really great team win today," said head coach Stephanie Cox. "We asked them to execute a higher tempo of play and maintain higher standards throughout the whole game, and I thought they did that. We were dynamic on attack and had lots of people contributing."

The Loggers will look to build on their strong start to the season when they host Pacific Lutheran University on Wednesday, September 23rd at 2:45 p.m. at Baker Stadium.
