Loggers sweep Linfield and remain tied for first in NWC

McMINNVILLE, Oregon – The Puget Sound volleyball team has now won six consecutive sets – and more importantly – six consecutive matches following its 3-0 (25-22, 25-16, 25-22) win at Linfield Friday night.

After Pacific's upset over No. 14 Pacific Lutheran Friday night, Puget Sound (11-6, 8-1 NWC) is now tied with only Whitworth (14-6, 8-1 NWC) for first place in the Northwest Conference. 

Puget Sound limited Linfield (6-11, 1-8 NWC) to just a .073 hitting percentage. The Loggers' defensive efforts included eight blocks and 60 digs.

Sydney Voss led all players with 25 digs, and Melanie Siacotos had a match-high 3.5 blocks. Siacotos also led all players with 10 kills.

The Loggers remain on the road to take on George Fox Saturday, Oct. 13, at 5 p.m.
