Despite erasing three-run deficit, Loggers lose to Pioneers

Box Score

FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Tyler Brazelton was a perfect 3-for-3 and added two RBI, but the Puget Sound baseball team lost to Lewis & Clark, 6-4, at Pacific Sunday afternoon.

The Pioneers (1-6) scored three runs in the top of the first, but the Loggers (1-2) rallied for three of their own in the third. AJ Morioka led off the bottom of the innings with a single, and Tyler Mick drove him home with a double. Puget Sound loaded the bases when Ricardo Barraza was hit by a pitch and Mason Quinlan singled. Brazelton came through with a two-run single to tie the game.

The Loggers took a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning thanks to Barraza's RBI single that scored Morioka, but Lewis & Clark's three-run sixth inning sealed the win.

The Loggers conclude their four-game trip to Oregon at George Fox, Monday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m.
