Continued game does not fair well for Loggers at Pacific Lutheran

| Box Score 2

PARKLAND, Washington – The wait was unkind to the Puget Sound baseball team, as the Loggers lost at Pacific Lutheran, 7-3, Wednesday afternoon. The game originally started Feb. 20, but was suspended in the fifth inning with the score tied, 1-1.

Joe Brennan took the tough-luck loss for the Loggers (8-4, 2-2 NWC), as his outing ended with the halt in the game. The Lutes' (6-8, 4-2 NWC) starting pitcher Chad Gideon continued pitching Wednesday and earned the win after totaling seven innings.

Puget Sound entered the ninth inning in a 7-1 hole, but the Loggers put two runs on the board in the final frame. Corey Roberts and Kyle Strash earned consecutive walks to begin the ninth, and the pair moved up one base, each, following a wild pitch.

Nick Ultsch and Ricardo Barraza both followed with consecutive groundout RBIs.

The Loggers continue their NWC slate with a doubleheader at Linfield, Saturday, March 10. First pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.
