Puget Sound wins both games at Lewis & Clark

PORTLAND, Oregon - The Puget Sound baseball team won its first game, 7-1, against against Lewis & Clark on Saturday, and won its second game, 27-10.

Ricardo Barraza went 2-for-3 during the game. Jake Briscoe had one RBI. Jack Gries and Makoa Mau each had two RBI.

Puget Sound's starting pitcher, Davis Miller allowed only two earned runs in nine innings.

RJ Quirante, Nolan Wiler, and Jackson Bolitho each went 1-for-1. Nick Ultsch and Ryota Nishino each went 1-for-2. Jack Gries went 3-for-6 during the game. Tyler Brazelton went 2-for-4.

 

Jake Briscoe hit two doubles. Mason Quinlan, Quirante, Hunter Riley, Ricardo Barraza, and Bolitho each hit one double. Brazelton hit one triple. Makoa Mau had one stolen base.

 

Gries and Ultsch each batted a home run. Gries had four RBI. Briscoe, Barraza, and Quinlan each had 3 RBI. AJ Morioka and Riley each had two RBI. Strash, Roberts, Ultsch, Nishino, Brazelton, Wiler, Mau, and Bolitho each had one RBI.

 

The Loggers and Pioneers conclude the three-game NWC series Sunday, March 23, at 12 p.m.
