Box Score FOREST GROVE, Oregon – Despite multiple-hit hit efforts by three different Loggers, the Puget Sound baseball team began its three-game series at Pacific with a 12-2 loss Friday night.
Jack Gries, Kyle Strash, and Mason Quinlan each went 2-for-4 for the Loggers. Down 3-0 through three innings, Strash reached base on a fielder's choice. Quinlan followed with a single that put runners on the corners, and Corey Roberts lifted a sacrifice fly to centerfield to score Strash.
In the fifth inning Ricardo Barraza led off with a single, and he eventually came around to score on a base hit by Gries.
The Loggers and Boxers are set for a doubleheader Saturday, April 20, starting at 1 p.m.
