Tome's big day not enough for women's soccer

TACOMA, Washington - Chaylea Tome had nine saves for the Puget Sound women's soccer team, but Northwest scored a late goal to claim a 1-0 victory over the Loggers Saturday afternoon at East Field. The defeat drops the Loggers 1-2-0, while the Eagles improve to 2-2-0.

The Loggers couldn't generate as much offense as the Eagles, and they were ultimately outshot, 18-4.

The Loggers will host Trinity (Tex.) on Friday, Sep. 13 at 4 p.m. in Baker Stadium.
