Box Score PARKLAND, Washington – Jack McCullars had a two-hit game and four different Loggers drove in a run, but the Puget Sound baseball team lost at Pacific Lutheran, 14-5, Friday afternoon.
The Loggers (3-1) got off to a good start in the first inning. Kyle Strash hit a one-out single, and he eventually came around to score on an RBI base hit by Dylan Joyce.
The Lutes (3-1) tied the game in the home half of the opening stanza, but they did the real damage with 10 runs in the fifth inning.
Grant Mannino and Andrew Matsueda both drove in a run in the sixth inning, and Makana Murashige hit a a sac fly to score Spencer Marsten in the seventh.
The Loggers and Lutes are scheduled for a doubleheader Sunday, March 8, at Logger Field. First pitch is slated for 10 a.m.
