Box Score 2 PORTLAND, Oregon – Davis Miller went the distance and Dylan Joyce homered twice as the Puget Sound baseball team completed a four-game sweep at Lewis & Clark Sunday afternoon.

Miller tossed a complete-game to earn his third win of the season. He struck out seven and allowed just one walk.
Jesse Awa led off the top of the second inning with a home run – his fourth of the season. In the following frame, Joyce belted his eighth homer of the spring. William Gross came in to score after hitting a leadoff double.
The Loggers held a 4-1 lead after seven innings, and they got a bigger cushion in the eighth. Awa led off by reaching on an error, and Jacob Ota followed with a single – and an error on the play put both runners in scoring position. Mitchell Nabeta drove them both home with a single up the middle.
Gross finished the game with three hits, while Ota and Nabeta collected two hits, each.
Puget Sound 8, Lewis & Clark 4
Six Loggers put up multi-hit efforts, and a four-run third inning propelled Puget Sound to its fourth consecutive win over the Pioneers.
Joyce got the scoring started with a solo home run in the first inning, but Lewis & Clark matched that run in the bottom of the frame.
The third-inning rally started off with a single by Shane Himeda, who then moved to second base on a wild pitch. Joyce brought him home with a double, Jonas Kim drew a walk, and Makana Murashige followed with an RBI single.
Kim came in to score when the centerfielder dropped a fly ball off the bat of Clayton Waltz, and Jackson Bolitho capped off the rally with an RBI single.
In the fifth inning, nobody was going to catch a fly ball hit by Waltz, as he rounded the bases for a solo home run – his fourth homer of the year.
The Loggers' final weekend at home is May 1-2 against Whitworth.
