TACOMA, Wash. - A pair of three-set victories was enough to
propel the Pacific Lutheran Lutes past the Puget Sound Loggers as
the cross-town rivals met in a Northwest Conference women's tennis

The Lutes took the lead following singles play as PLU picked up
8-4 wins in both the first and third positions. Puget Sound

was a 6-2, 6-0 winner over Ali Burnside in the third position and
senior Ashley Dombrow (Lake Forest, Ill./The Ethel Walker School)
was a 6-4, 7-6 winner in the sixth spot.
The match came down to the first and fifth positions but the
Lutes were able to pick up three-set victories to earn the win.

close to picking up her first individual win of the year in the top
spot before falling to Ashley Coats, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. In the

falling 4-6, 7-5, 6-2.
