Loggers Swept At Whitman

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Puget Sound men's tennis team suffered another 9-0 defeat on Saturday to No. 29 Whitman College. Whitman (7-3, 3-0 NWC).

Ben Miller and Michael Cutter fell 8-2 in No. 1 doubles as did George Murphy and John Stevens at No. 2. Whitman took the No. 3 match 8-0 to sweep the double points.

Whitman swept the singles as well with straight set victories in all six matches. Conor Holton-Burke took the No. 1 match over Cutter 6-2, 6-1 and James River won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 over Miller.

Murphy fell 6-2, 6-0 at No.3 and Abe Noyes fell 6-2, 6-1 in the No. 4 match. Stevens suffered a 6-0, 6-2 loss in the No. 5 match to Colton Malesovas and Jake Peterson stumbled 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6.

The Loggers return home next week for a 6 p.m. match with George Fox.
